Daniel Wesley MINISTER OF MUSIC Daniel Wesley was called as Minister of Music at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in February 2021. He is also the Director of Choirs at Lexington Christian Academy, where he serves as the Fine Arts Department Chair, conducts the high school choral ensembles, and teaches courses in advanced music theory. Mr. Wesley also serves as the Artistic Director of the acclaimed Lexington Singers Children’s Choir. He is also the President of the Kentucky Choral Director’s Association. Choirs under Mr. Wesley’s direction have performed by invitation at seven conferences of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and in three solo engagements at New York’s Carnegie Hall. The LCA Choirs travel extensively throughout the United States and Europe, including recent tours to France, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Wales, England, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Nashville. In 2013, the Lexington Christian Academy Chorale was named Grand Champion at the National Choral Music Invitational. Mr. Wesley has also conducted and accompanied school and community honor choirs, adjudicated choral festivals and presented lectures and reading sessions at church and school music conferences across the United States. Prior to his calling at Lexington Avenue, Daniel served as Minister of Music at Mt. in Mississippi, Ohio, and Kentucky, Tommy has invested many years in the ministry to students. At LABC, his goal is to expose high school and college age students to the words and ways of Christ while creating opportunities for them to value fellowship and connection through their local church. Tommy graduated from Union College (KY) with a double Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education and Psychology. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He has three kids, Noah, Josh, and Malia. Prior to serving at LABC, Beth served for thirty in the music ministry at Tates Creek Christian Church in Lexington. While at Tates Creek Christian, she served as organist, pianist, keyboardist, choral accompanist, director of the children’s choir and director of the bell choir. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Masters Degree in School Leadership from the University of Kentucky. She obtained her Rank 1 in early adolescent mathematics as a National Board Certified Teacher. Although music is her passion, she has also spent many years in public school education as a middle school teacher, instructional coach, principal, district administrator, and state Educational Recovery Leader. Beth resides in Jessamine County and loves spending time with her sons, Chris, Michael, Jackson and Zachary as well as her daughters-in-law, Haley and Kaitlyn. Brad Selby - Rev. Brad Selby MINISTER TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES Brad Selby was called as LABC’s Minister to Children and Families on September 29, 2024. Brad is a native of Waco, Texas. He has served churches for the past nineteen years in Waco, TX, Wadron, AK, Nacogdoches, TX, Louisville, KY, and San Angelo, TX. Brad attended Stephen F. Austin State University and Southern Nazarene University. He and his wife, Taylor, live in Harrodsburg with their daughter. In his free time, Brad enjoys cooking, hunting, fishing, and college football.
